SCORE (formerly FIP), developed by the International Labour Organization, is a hands-on training programme that combines workshop training with individual in-factory consultations. It has been implemented in Sri Lanka, Vietnam and India and is soone to be expanded both in in and beyond Asia.

SCORE helps factories:

    • Improve quality, often reducing defect rates by more than 50%.

    • Boost productivity from people, materials and energy.

    • Improve labour practices and compliance with national standards.

    • Establish a healthy and safe workplace.

    • Create a collaborative workplace culture.

Throughout the programme, leading industry experts and a local support team provide tailored advice to participating factories. Thanks to this comprehensive step-by-step programme, workers and managers at participating factories are able to implement and maintain practical improvements to their overall competitiveness, working conditions and environmental impact.

SCORE is designed for small- and medium-sized manufacturing facilities and can be implemented in a variety of sectors. For more information on the programme approach and the topics covered, please see the What is the FIP? section.
